About
Dr Matthew Yeo is an internationally-qualified plastic surgeon and is known for delivering exquisite and bespoke outcomes. His philosophy of delivering good results in plastic surgery demands a discerning mind, an eye for detail and meticulous execution. He is known to deliver warm and personal care to patients.
His educational qualifications include graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2002, being conferred as Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2007 and Master of Medicine (Surgery) in 2008. In 2012, he was awarded the Gold Medal by the College of Surgeons, Singapore, for performance at the national plastic surgery board examination. He was inducted as Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2013. He also successfully passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery examinations and was inducted as Fellow in 2015.
Dr Matthew’s achievements include receipt of the Healthcare Manpower Development Program award (Ministry of Health) in 2013 and completing a year-long fellowship in Advanced Reconstructive Microsurgery in Taiwan ROC under the tutelage of an internationally renowned Professor Hung-Chi Chen. He has also completed multiple aesthetic medicines and surgery fellowships with some of the pre-eminent names in Australia, Belgium, South Korea, Thailand and the United States of America. He brings an amalgamation of decades of experience and expertise from his mentors into his clinical practice.
Dr Matthew is an active member of the plastic surgery community. He was elected as Chairman of the Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, College of Surgeons Singapore between 2016 and 2019. He also served as a Council Member of the College of Surgeons, Singapore between 2016 and 2019. In 2020, he was elected as the National Secretary (Singapore) of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, comprising a group of distinguished plastic surgeons. He has co-authored several professional and public advisories and guidelines for the Chapter of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr Matthew is experienced in a wide range of aesthetic procedures including facial rejuvenation with minimally invasive and/or surgical techniques, breast and body contouring, and post-weight loss contouring. His reconstructive surgery strengths include reconstruction in the head and neck region, the breast, the chest wall and the extremities. He is introduced procedures such as free intestinal flap transfers for the reconstruction of the head and neck, breast and chest wall reconstruction and extremity salvage. His broad surgical repertoire is a reflection of the numerous mentors he had trained under in his early years. At a personal level, he has found aesthetic surgery and reconstructive surgery to be synergistic in bringing his outcomes to ever-higher levels.
