Biography Dr Bhavani Sriram is a medical doctor with over 38 years’ experience, and is a trained neonatologist and paediatric specialist. After obtaining her basic medical degree, she pursued her specialist training in paediatrics and neonatology. Dr Bhavani established a special interest to provide holistic and coordinated care for children with special needs and persons with intellectual disabilities. She established a clinic for individuals with Down’s Syndrome at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She is also the founder and current clinical head of the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) Developmental Disabilities Medical Clinic, the first clinic in Singapore to offer specialised medical attention for persons with intellectual disabilities.
