About
Dr Chan is a Cardiologist subspecialising in Echocardiography and Heart Failure. She is an accredited specialist at several leading private hospitals in Singapore. She is also a Visiting Consultant with the National University Health System.
Prior to private practice, she was Director of Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory and Clinical Lead of Heart Failure Services at the National University Heart Centre (Jurong Health Campus).
Dr Chan was awarded the Singapore Ministry of Health Healthcare Manpower Development Program (MOH HMDP) in 2020. She opted to further her training at the National University Heart Centre, so that she could simultaneously develop the Jurong Health Campus’s Heart Failure Services.
She received her testamur from The National Board of Echocardiography (America) in 2023.
Dr Chan is trained in transthoracic, transesophageal, pharmacological and exercise stress echocardiography. She is adept with the use of strain-imaging for detection of subclinical cardiac conditions, and is competent with 3D techniques for accurate assessment of structural heart problems.
Dr Chan has extensive experience in heart failure management. She is well-versed in haemodynamics-tailored therapy, iron-repletion, and the long-term care of heart failure patients.
She has also special interests in female-centric heart conditions, such as cardio-toxicity in breast cancer treatment and heart failure preserved ejection fraction.
