About
Dr Ivan Chua graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003 and completed his training in orthopaedic surgery in 2013. After accreditation as a specialist orthopaedic surgeon, he practised as a specialist for next 11 years until end2024.
He was awarded the AO Trauma fellowship in 2014 and completed a 6-week training fellowship in computer assisted surgery in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. He was also awarded the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Programme award in 2014 and completed a 1-year training programme in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at the trauma unit in Foothills Hospital, University of Calgary, Alberta from 2015 to 2016.
Being a keen clinician researcher, he has authored or co-authored over 20 scientific publications. He is a recognised key domain expert in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery and Orthogeriatric care and has presented in numerous local and regional scientific meetings.
His key subspecialty interests are: Orthopaedic Trauma and Sports Injuries, Joint Replacement and Reconstruction, Orthogeriatric, Osteoporosis and Bone Health, Limb Deformity Reconstruction.
Dr Ivan Chua also presently holds various leadership appointments, contributing to
subspecialty care in Singapore. He is chairman of the Singapore Orthopaedic Trauma Society and the Fragility Fracture Network Singapore and education officer of AO Trauma Singapore Council. He is also a visiting consultant to Tan Tock Seng Hospital,
Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and Woodlands Health Campus.
