About
Dr Poh Choo Hean obtained his Bachelor medical degree (MB, BCh, BAO) at Queen’s University United Kingdom in 1996. He obtained post graduate degree (MRCP) in year 1999 in United Kingdom. Dr Poh joined Singapore in year 2000 and underwent Advance Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training. He completed advance specialist training and accredited as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in both specialties in year 2004 and 2006 respectively.
Dr Poh was in United States for a year from 2008 to 2009 to further sub-specialize in the field of upper gastrointestinal motility. He has numerous medical research papers published in reputable medical journals over the 1 year stint and won the Research Publication Award back in 2010.
Dr Poh was actively involved in teaching the next generation of young doctors during his stint as a core faculty member of ACGME and Clinical Faculty member for Senior Residency Programme. His role then was to mentor and plan out the curriculum for the training doctors.
