About

Dr Lim Sey Kiat Terence is a senior consultant urologist with a subspecialty in Uro-oncology and Endourology and Medical Director at Assure Urology & Robotic Centre. He was fellowship trained in laparoscopic and robotic surgery and Uro-oncology at Yonsei Severance Hospital, Seoul. Prior to his private practice, Dr Lim served as the senior consultant and Chief of Department of Urology at Changi General Hospital (CGH). As HOD, he started new services to improve patient care, clinical outcomes and waiting time. Under his leadership, the Department of Urology won the Department Quality Award for two consecutive years. Dr. Lim was also the director of CGH’s advanced surgical centre that performed robotic and complex surgeries. He is appointed visiting consultant to CGH and is frequently asked to proctor his colleagues in robotic surgeries. He is also a certified Expert Proctor in Robotic Surgeries by the Robotic Surgery Society of Singapore.

Dr Lim has a keen interest in endourological and minimally invasive urological surgeries and is experienced in robot-assisted surgeries of the kidneys, bladder and prostate, like partial nephrectomies, radical prostatectomies and radical cystectomies. To date, he has been involved in over 750 robotic surgeries and was the first in Singapore to perform a Robot-assisted Retzius-sparing prostatectomy. Dr Lim is a strong advocate of improving patients’ clinical outcomes and safety. He has also won many patient-care awards including multiple Singhealth Star/Gold Awards.

Dr Lim served as Clinical/Adjunct Associate Professor for all three medical schools and was a member of the Urology Residency Advisory Committee and Site Director of the Singhealth Urology Residency Programme. Dr. Lim also has a keen interest in clinical research and has published over 40 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
