About
Dr Antony Gardner graduated from Cambridge University in 1998 and Oxford University in 2001 and did his basic surgical training in the South-West of the UK. His advanced specialist training in orthopaedic surgery was completed in Singapore in 2012 during which he developed a specialist interest in Trauma and foot and ankle surgery. He did his fellowship training in the Orthopaedic Trauma Centre in Oxford in 2013 and subsequently worked in a busy trauma service in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
He has a special interest in orthopaedic trauma and post traumatic limb reconstruction with experience managing bone and soft tissue infection and osteomyelitis. He has experience using both conventional techniques and Ilizarov type ring fixators to treat complex limb deformity. In addition, he has a keen interest in foot and ankle surgery, including degenerative conditions affecting the foot and ankle, post traumatic conditions and Charcot arthropathy.
He is able to provide a specialist opinion for a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions, both non-operative and operative treatment to all patients from the diabetic foot ulcer sufferer to the elite athlete. He is trained in Key-hole surgery (arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery) for foot and ankle and trauma. He aims to keep up to date with the latest research in order to practice an evidence-based approach to diagnosis and treatment
