At Alvernia Wellness Centre, we believe mental health is instrumental to our overall well-being. We hope to enhance the overall quality of life for those afflicted by mental health struggles.
Our wish is for these programmes to empower you in overcoming mental health challenges, and support your loved ones. We are equipped to support individuals aged 13 years and above.
Beyond clinical support, we hope to promote awareness, education, and measures to foster mental wellness in communities, reduce stigma associated with mental illnesses, and encourage early intervention where applicable.
Our comprehensive evaluation involves the following:
-
Clinical Interviews and/or Consultation with Close Contacts
Our psychiatrist will explore your mental health history, present symptoms, and overall state of well-being.
Sometimes, we may seek your permission to gain input from family members or people familiar with your condition. This additional perspective helps us to build a more complete picture of your difficulties.
-
Further Diagnostic Testing
In rare situations, we may recommend additional tests, such as blood tests, brain imaging, or psychometric evaluations. These may help us to clarify your diagnosis, and support the mapping of your treatment strategy.
-
Follow-up
Typically, the initial evaluation takes about an hour at your first visit. Complex issues may take longer or more than one session to clarify. At the end of the evaluation, a treatment plan will be formulated and discussed with you, which may include one or more of the following: psychotherapy, medication management, counselling services.
Consultation Fees:
Initial Consultation: $324.82 (inclusive of GST)
Follow-up Session(s): from $109 (inclusive of GST)
Our psychologists employ an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches customised to your needs. By blending techniques from different therapeutic approaches, the therapy we provide also adapts to your evolving needs throughout the healing journey.

We support you, and if applicable, your caregivers in making informed decisions about medications, by discussing options available to you as well as their potential benefits and side effects.
We provide individual, couple, and family counselling, as well as pastoral counselling. Where appropriate, we may refer you to an external provider if your needs for specialised counselling are better met by the external provider.
