Dr Audra Fong graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1998, and obtained her specialist degree from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2008. Dr Fong is an ophthalmologist with sub-specialty training in neuroophthalmology. She has a keen interest in diseases affecting the brain and nerves that are closely related to the visual system. She completed a one year Neuroophthalmology fellowship under Professor Barry Cullen and Dr Sharon Tow, and was involved in a National Medical Research Council research study involving retinal microvasculature changes in relation to optic nerve diseases. She often works closely in conjunction with neurologists and neurosurgeons in managing conditions that affect both the eye and the brain such as hemifacial spasm, myasthenia gravis, brain and pituitary tumours and strokes affecting the visual pathway.

Dr Fong is also a trained general ophthalmologist who manages many age-related eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration.
