About
Dr Chia Sing Joo is a Senior Urologist cum Medical Director at ML’ve URoCare Center. He is currently a Visiting Senior Consultant to Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he faithfully served for more than 3 decades. Before his relinquishment, amidst his busy clinical practice, Dr Chia held key positions including the Head of General Surgery Department (2001-2010), Divisional Chief of Surgery (2005-2014), the Founding Head of Urology Department (2011-2012) and Medical Director of Pearl Services (2011-2018) as well as few professional appointments such as Academy of Medicine (Singapore), Chapter of Surgeons (2009-2014), Chapter of Urology under College of Surgeons (2014-2016) as well as the Ministry of Health Specialist Board Training Committee (2005-present), among others. Dr Chia received National Day Awards for SARS in 2003 and National Day Long Service Award in 2017.
Dr Chia attained MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 1986, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom in 1991 and a Fellow at Duke University, North Carolina, U.S.A in 1995. His clinical interests are mainly in Urooncology, Sexual Dysfunction and Sub-fertility as well as Robotic Surgery for Minimally Invasive Surgeries in the management of cancer in prostate, bladder and kidney.
