About

Dr Harold Heah is an otorhinolaryngologist (ENT surgeon) with subspecialty expertise in head and neck surgery. Dr Heah’s clinical interests include the management of head and neck tumours, such as thyroid, salivary gland, oral cavity and sinus tumours. He is skilled in minimally invasive techniques including endoscopic and transoral robotic surgery and was the first surgeon in Asia to utilise the Medrobotics Flex® Robotic System.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr Heah completed his otolaryngology specialty training in Singapore and was awarded the Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to pursue advanced subspecialty training in head and neck surgery.

Prior to private practice, Dr Heah served at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he was Director of Clinical Services at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head & Neck Centre. He was also a visiting consultant to the National Cancer Centre Singapore, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He completed his clinical fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre, where he trained under world-renowned experts in head and neck cancer care.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Heah is deeply involved in medical education. He served as core faculty for the SingHealth Otolaryngology Residency Programme and was conferred the SingHealth Outstanding Faculty Award. He was also Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Medical School and Clinical Lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
