Dr Kenneth Liew graduated top of his cohort from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1990 and was awarded the Gibb's Gold Medal. He subsequently trained for five years in Internal Medicine and was awarded the Sir Gordan Arthur Ransome Gold Medal for being the top candidate in the Masters of Medicine examinations in 1995. Dr Liew then pursued specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in both Singapore and the UK for the next five years after being awarded the MRCP (UK) diploma in 1996. He spent over a year as an MOH HMDP scholar at the Centre for Liver & Digesive Disorders at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, U.K. Soon after returning to Singapore in 1999, he was appointed Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was also appointed Senior Clinical Lecturer in Medicine at the NUS. In 2006, Dr Liew commenced private practice at Mt Alvernia Hospital and has since been appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Yong Loo Lin Medical School at NUS. In addition to diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy, Dr Liew's scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders and liver problems especially chronic hepatitis B.
