About

Dr Kevin Lee is a US fellowship-trained senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon. He completed his medical degree at the National University of Singapore in 1996 and has been in clinical practice since then. He is a member of the Royal College Of Surgeons, Edinburgh and a fellow of the Royal College Of Surgeons, Edinburgh (Orthopaedics). He also holds a Master Of Medicine (Orthopaedics), Singapore. Dr Kevin Lee is the founding partner of Pinnacle Orthopaedic Group. He is a US fellowship-trained senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon whose sub-specialty interests are in knee and hip surgeries, cartilage repair techniques, sports injuries of the lower limb and stem cell therapeutics in orthopaedics. He was a Vice-President in the Singapore Cycling Federation and he manages elite level athletes and VIPs on a regular basis. Dr Kevin Lee underwent sub-specialty training at the Hip & Knee Division, Stanford University Orthopaedic Department, USA. He is currently a consultant for Zimmer Inc, one of the largest orthopaedic implant companies in the world. During his previous tenure in the National University Hospital, Singapore, he was the Principal Investigator who established the National University Health System’s (NUHS) Total Hip and Knee Replacement Registry in 2008. As a Co-Principal Investigator, he was also instrumental in setting up the NUHS’s Sports Registry. In 2005, Dr Kevin Lee became the first orthopaedic surgeon to win both the Singapore Orthopaedic Association Young Investigator Award (for his work on mesenchymal stem cells and cartilage repair in the knee) and the N Balachandran Award in the same year. He mentored his trainee to win an unprecedented second time the Young Orthopaedic Investigator Award in 2009. He has numerous scientific publications on sports injuries, stem cell therapeutics, cartilage repair and joint replacements.

Dr Lee had an outstanding academic career and his achievements include scoring 9 distinctions (8A1s and 1 A2) and the Marine Parade Constituency Book Prize Award in the GCE O Levels (1988) and a perfect score of 7 distinctions/A1s in the GCE A Levels (1990) and he was also awarded the Marine Parade Constituency Book Prize Award, the Prime Minister’s Book Prize Award and the Raffles Junior College Academic Prize Award in the same year. Dr Kevin Lee was a two-term Vice-President in the Singapore Cycling Federation.
