About

Dr Lee is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore with comprehensive experience in complex reconstructive and aesthetic procedures across face, body and breast. Trained in Singapore with advanced international fellowships in South Korea and Japan.

His key career contributions prior to joining private practice:

1. Consistent microsurgical outcomes: Consistent outcome of free and pedicled flaps in reconstructive cases, with low re-operation and flap-loss rates comparable to published benchmarks.

2. Minimally invasive plastic surgery: Built an endoscopic breast reconstruction service at NUH through a structured framework (published in World Journal of Surgery, September 2025) and developed technique innovations to further improve patient outcomes.

3. Microscope-assisted aesthetic surgery: Upper and lower blepharoplasty and facial rejuvenation procedures.

4. IRB-governed translational projects i.e. lymphatic microsurgery applications in neurodegenerative diseases and research into advanced fat and soft-tissue reconstruction techniques.

5. Led development of protocol-driven scar management pathways, telemedicine pathways (EQUIP) and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols for breast reconstruction. Committed to value-based, patient-centric care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Apart from clinical work, Dr Lee is active in educating the next generations of plastic surgeons and participating in mission trips
