Background

Dr Lo is an accredited gastroenterology specialist in Singapore and the United Kingdom. He graduated from the National University of Ireland in 1998. He undertook postgraduate specialist training in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology in UK, which included a year at the renowned Birmingham Liver Unit where he honed his skill in managing complex liver diseases. He attained Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT, UK) in 2010.

Dr Lo is a member of the Royal College of Physicians UK (MRCP UK), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (FRCPEd), and a Fellow of the European Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (FEBGH).

He was conferred the Doctor of Medicine (MD) doctorate degree by the University of Leicester for his research work in liver medicine.

Dr Lo is a physician with a wide breadth of knowledge and experience. He has practised gastroenterology and hepatology for more than 2 decades. He is skillful in performing screening, diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy, including polyp removal and haemostatic procedures. He also performs PEG insertion and video capsule endoscopy.

Prior to joining Cornerstone Asia Health, Dr Lo was a senior consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was also the departmental quality review officer and welfare officer, as well as the chairman for peer review learning.

Dr Lo is a passionate teacher. He was an adjunct assistant professor as well as the Gastrointestinal Clinical Module lead at LKC School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He was also a clinical senior lecturer at YLL School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Over the years, Dr Lo has trained many young specialists as a Core Clinical Faculty with the NHG Gastroenterology Residency Programme.

Dr Lo speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and Malay.
