Dr Ong Kee Leong is an orthopaedic surgeon subspecializing in shoulder and knee surgery, arthroscopic sports surgery and the management of sports-related injuries. He also has a special interest in performing knee joint preservation surgery.

Dr Ong graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2001. He attained the Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery (NUS) in 2007 and was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2011.

Dr Ong received the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship from the Ministry of Health to undergo fellowship training in Germany in 2012. He completed his 1-year fellowship in Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery at the SportsClinic Germany Centre in Hannover.

Prior to joining private practice, Dr Ong served as Senior Consultant and Director of Sports Service in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Changi General Hospital. He also has experience working in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

A firm believer in training the younger doctors, Dr Ong held the positions of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lee Kong Chian Medical School (Nanyang Technological University), senior clinical tutor at Yong Loo Lin Medical School (NUS) and Core Faculty of Singhealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program.

He regularly teaches local and regional surgeons in Shoulder and Knee Surgery Courses and is recipient of multiple teaching awards including the Singhealth Residency Outstanding Faculty Awards from 2014-2016 and Changi General Hospital Outstanding Educator Awards 2015-2016.
