About
Dr Seng Chusheng is a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery and knee surgery. Over the span of his career, he has performed more than a thousand surgeries and has vast experience in managing and performing both minimally-invasive and open surgeries for foot and ankle conditions, general orthopaedic trauma, sports-related injuries of the knee, and adult reconstruction in patients with hip and knee arthritis. Dr Seng strives to provide the most up-to-date patient care by offering minimally invasive hallux valgus correction (bunion) surgery, complex foot and ankle fracture fixation and deformity correction, keyhole ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair for sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle.
Dr Seng graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science (MBBS) and later went on to complete his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from NUS. He was subsequently appointed as Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in United Kingdom.
Dr Seng undertook his subspeciality training at the Assal Centre in Geneva, which is one of Switzerland’s leading establishment specializing in the treatment of foot, ankle and lower limb conditions. He was mentored by the world renowned “Privat-Docent” PD Dr Mathieu Assal (past president for Swiss foot and ankle society) and Dr Lisca Drittenbass (president elect for Swiss foot and ankle society) for complex foot and ankle deformity correction and trauma and Dr Victor Dubois-Ferriere for minimally invasive/keyhole foot and ankle surgery.
Prior to private practice, Dr Seng was a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Singapore General Hospital (SGH). His dedication and unwavering care towards his patients won him the SingHealth Service With A Heart Award. He is currently a Visiting Consultant at SGH’s Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Apart from clinical work, Dr Seng also has a keen interest in research. He has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He was also shortlisted for SGH’s Young Investigator Award in 2011. In 2012, he won the Japanese Orthopaedic Association Traveling Fellowship.
