About
Dr Soo graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He was commissioned as a Navy medical officer (CPT) in 2006 during his return to National Service, in which he served 2 years of active combat service. Thereafter, he completed his surgical training in Singapore General Hospital and National Heart Centre Singapore. He was awarded the Cardiothoracic Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2014. He furthered his training in cardiothoracic surgery as a clinical fellow in Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in United Kingdom from 2016–2017, where he specialized in various aspects of thoracic surgery. His areas of interest include minimally invasive thoracic surgery, mediastinal tumours and transbronchial intervention.
