Hospital Bag Checklist: What to Pack for Delivery

Avoid the stress of last-minute packing by preparing your hospital bag at least 2-4 weeks ahead of your estimated delivery date.

Original Documents & Deposit

  • Doctor’s admission letter
  • Receipts for pre-delivery medical expenses (for additional $900 Medisave claim)
  • Letter of Guarantee from your company/insurance company (if applicable)
  • Cash, credit card or NETS for deposit payment

For mothers

  • Cardigan
  • Personal toiletries
  • Non-slip bedroom slippers
  • Nursing bras
  • Comfortable outfit for discharge
  • Mobile phone and charger

  • Sanitary pads
  • Breastfeeding nursing pads

Plan Your Hospital Transportation

Driving yourself for delivery is not recommended. Arrange your husband, a driver or other transport arrangements to ensure smooth transportation to the hospital.
